We’re currently looking for a Junior Welder to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity ideal for someone with a recognised welding apprenticeship and a passion for learning Orbital and TIG welding in a high-quality engineering environment.

As a Junior Orbital & TIG Welder, you’ll support the manufacture of subsea umbilicals and cable assemblies, working alongside experienced professionals and receiving practical training in:

  • Orbital welding equipment operation
  • Manual TIG welding techniques
  • Small-bore tube bending and joint preparation
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding specs (WPS)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with production welding tasks to meet deadlines
  • Develop technical skills through supervised, on-the-job training
  • Support weld preparation: cutting, cleaning, and alignment
  • Maintain traceability records and follow strict quality procedures
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
  • Participate in toolbox talks and training sessions

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • Recognised Welding Apprenticeship (or similar foundation training)
  • Basic understanding of welding principles and safety practices
  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to develop new skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively

Desirable:

  • HNC / ONC / City & Guilds qualifications
